The OP has made up his mind. I hope careful consideration was given to each component as to rating and functionality. I am curious how it works while towing (sway, etc). It seems such a shame to have a toy hauler not big enough for the toy of choice.

I should speak for him, but I think he is loading the ranger into the truck bed, adding a 2-1/2" hitch to the truck plus a heavy duty extension to allow tailgate down. It has to be long enough to allow a full turn)

Yes! It's the easiest solution. Plus, I need the toy box to haul all of my gear to our events. It should work great.
