Bed mattress and TV

I am wondering if anyone has replaced the mattress in the bed room and if so does anyone have any recommendations on a good mattress. Also what size TV have you all went with in the bedroom.

We have a Coleman air mattress over ours and it's adequate.

We bought a 4"memory foam topper and it worked well. TV in our bedroom is a 39". Seems to be plenty big since it's so close. We also squeezed a 39 in the living room and put a 36 in the garage.

Few years back bought a Richardson mattress (made by serta). Just like the one at home, and for a extra $50 they custom made it to a short queen size for our 5th wheel. When we moved to a new trailer we put it in the new unit. Money well spent.

Used a full size 6" queen foam mattress from IKEA. We love it. Going on 7 years with it on top of the stock innerspring mattress. Many grades to choose from. This one cost about 300. Initially, in a previous TT, it was on top of the stock short queen mattress, which was slid down the 6" so the foot end of the mattresses mated up. I hateed to have my feet hanging over the end. The overhang of the top mattress at the head of the bed was unnoticeable, since it was 6" thick. Wouldn't waste my time or money buying a short queen or having one shortened. 6" is not a big deal, unless...!

We have a Sleep Number bed at home. After a two week trip with the new fifth wheel I had major pain issues with the installed mattress so we purchased a Sleep Number bed for the rv. Surprisingly, the best price we could find for the short queen was at Camping World.

Tossed out the old RV (it was new) mattress and went out and purchsed a new Original Mattress Factory mattress just like the one we have at home. Now we sleep as well if not better in the RV as we do at home!

We have no TV... do streaming on our computers... works well.

Our 2012 Wildcat Sterling edition came with a Trump Suites matteress. I was prepared to toss what ever came with our rig but to my suprise it was a very comfortable mattress. Best mattress I've had in an RV.

I fully expected it to break down quickly with the plan to swap it out with an extra select comfort queen we have in our guest room at home. It's now 3 1/2 years since we purchased our 5er new and the bed is still going strong without the need to modify with a topper.

I just wished other issues were avoided as well as the mattress was.

Replacement Mattress

We bought a Dreamfoam Bedding Ultimate Dreams Short Crazy Quilt Pillow Top Mattress, Queen from Amazon for like $270. Love it when camping, it's better than our $2000 home mattress!

Sleepmaster Mattress in Syracuse. They make mattresses to your specifications. Great to sleep on. Changed from a Queen to a small King. World of difference from original.

Have a full-queen "premium" Serta mattress (option in our Rockwood 5er), but I still didn't find it comfortable (I'm used to a firm memory-foam topped mattress at home), so we put the foam topper from our old pop-up on-top, and I'm much happier.

Currently have a 22" combo LCD/DVD in the bedroom, which we moved from our old pop-up, but I'm looking into getting a 32" (but not sure whether I'll get a DVD combo, or just something that'll play videos from USB HD)

We replaced our mattress with a Dream Air from CW. It is made for CW by Sleep Number. Same remote but doesn't say Sleep Number on it and it was cheaper. Wish we had a bed in the house that sleeps as good.

Hey John, went with a Walmart 10" foam for $260 and could not be happier with it. I want to another but in a full length queen for the garage. I don't have a TV in bedroom, but to me a 26" or a little smaller would be about right. My TV is a 32"; in living room. I recently moved it down to eye level and added a cabinet and shelf.

BTW, you should add a signature line so everyone can see what you have.

Not too many LCD/DVD combos available any more. Have a 24" RCA, great picture and reception but the audio sucks, you can barely hear it

Thank you all for the input. WW I thought I did have a signature line. Anyways I bought me a Foam mattress off Amazon and for the TV I got me a 24" Toshiba in the same model type that I have in living room which is a 32" so I can use my same dish network remote to control both. WW the little short cubby space next to the radio in the 29hfs I was trying to figure out for the longest what to use it for. My dish 211 receiver fits perfectly in that spot.
