That can be true i do not doubt you, but you have a flagstaff and not a rockwood. I have been inside mine more then I ever wanted to and I can guarantee it is not the same, but what ever is? Maybe that is why flagstaffs cost more? More bells and whistles. There is no back flow preventers connected between the pump and the connections to the Water Pump or the the black water flush system. Just the vacuum brake behind the shower handles for the flush system.

You may need a snow plow on your TV for your camping this weekend.

I don't have a separate backflow preventer on the pump other than what is built into the pump itself, just the city water and black tank flush.

Steve, I know! What's up with this weather...snowing! We are packing up the RV tonight, even the food and beer coolers...figure they won't lose much ice by tomorrow night with the current temp!

How would you determine its bad, Is it normal for the check valve to make a buzzing sound. We finally pick our nitro fifth wheel up on Friday and when I hooked up the hose to the flush I could hear a buzzing from inside. Found under sink, both lines felt cold, so I think water was making it through, it felt wet so I tightened the connections a little. Water does come out main dumping valve. I put my ear to the underbelly of the coach and only could hear a little water trickle noise.

I just posted about a leaky black water valve also. Hope bobs reads this he seems to have a lot of answers

The check valve would be bad if it failed and spewed water all over the floor of your lav cabinet. Buzzing only means the check valve inside is jumping around against it's seat and doing it's job. I wouldn't worry about that. Mine is clear and I can watch it in action. I also had to replace a faulty one that stuck closed.

I have the same problem in our XLR 27, the back flow is in the entertainment center behind access panel. It was installed correctly so I took it out and found it defective.

I bought a new one and I am waiting for it to arrive. Although I didn't buy the same one that was there because it was way over priced $50 for that plastic fitting. I found another one online very similar for less than 1/2 of that.

And that would be 'entertaining' to have that compartment flood out.

I'm gonna hope I don't have that entertainment anytime soon or ever. Thank you everyone looks like mines fine I appreciate it, we had a gearbox before and that one didn't have any type of valve in it and you could hear it inside the tank spraying around just different and new to us.

Mine worked, but would seep water once in a while, so I just removed it completely along with about 10' of tubing and ran the hose directly to the sprayer connection on the tank. Works just fine. Have no idea why they even put it in the line.
