Figured I would give some more thanks and support to Bob because of his assistance with my parents 29HFS.
They recently desired to upgrade to a 5er and refused to look at anything other then an XLR. They decided on the 350, besides some minor issues they couldn't be happier and are already making plans for their next and retirement trailer in the amp series.
Besides liking the layout and features, my folks have become diehard XLR fans because they have experienced first hand that XLR truly cares about customer satisfaction and seems to continuously go above and beyond as proof on these forums.

egladden - Bob is our version of a superhero. He often hides in the shadows until his powers are needed and then somehow always comes through and saves the day.

Bob I have a question about the ramp door on my 29 hfs they changed out the axles to the 5200 lb axles which has raised the TT so now my Street Glide drags going in. If I block the ramp door up and use a ramp to load will this damage the door?

Likewise, I have the stronger axles and the lift also effects loading my Thunderbird 1600. I can overcome this by raising the tongue with jack (after remembering to lower the rear stabs) very high; as well as, raising the bikes suspension to the "highest" setting helps.
Several months back I drew this; thought the "riser" would be better on the ramp, since it would be out of the way after loading, but it could be placed in the bay, too.
Would this work?
It needs to be light and has to have rubber or something to keep it from slipping... drilling into the ramp or floor isn't an option for me.
On my old Greywolf, I added 4' wide aluminumm extension from reclaimed diamond tread; to space the ramp up from the ground, I made simple wooden stands about 12" tall, worked well.

I found the old photos of the ramp extension on the 21RR. I didn't want to imply this was an original idea. I have seen several THs with extensions, some standard and others were optional extra.

Thanks for the info another problem I have when I back down the ramp it starts sliding when I am holding the brakes
Here's the trick to unloading: bike engine off, bike in first gear. Pull in clutch, slowly back yourself down the ramp, pushing with your legs. By feathering the front brake with your right hand and the clutch with your left, you can lock both tires up when needed, not just the front. You shouldn't skid then. Good luck!

Exactly right T, works like a champ. It could be trickly for someone just trying it for the first time... cause you are letting out the clutch to slow it, but the opposite with the front brake lever. Go slow and steady! I have an additional challenge just before the front wheel is off the ramp... I can't touch the ground with my feet. When the rear tire is on the ground I look straight ahead; make sure nothings behind me; make sure I'm balanced then let 'er roll.

You hit that "short inseam moment of truth" too? You get to that point where your feet don't touch, and you just have to GO! That was a little scary the first few times.😳
