WW is right on with his comment. The price RVW quoted was probably already over 30% off- nowhere near "sticker"

One thing I liked better about Couch's is that they gave me the same price as RVW without using any financing. I understand I could have just taken the financing and paid it off in a month to get the deal, but didn't want to bother if all other things were equal.

In Canada Fredericton one dealer refused cash for a 32,000 trailer. said they don't make their money that way.
They do make their money by financing for 10 to 20 yrs max at 6.6 to 7% rate.

Was told that if I wanted to take it out for 20 yrs and pay it off in 6 months with cash the we could do that instead.
But wasnt the interest for 20 yrs factored into that cash payout???

Dealers get the bank financing up front apparently thats how they make their profits on an over priced item to start with...

what costs you in the states 30 to40 Grand sometimes costs us in Canada 60 to 70 Grand

Plus on an RV there really is no sticker per se. R VW uses Bank of the West... it was simple interest, so I only paid interest on the unpaid balance. Plus my first payment was $20,000 reducing the interest to a minimum. Very little interest and no penalty for early repayment

I'm late in this thread, but I'll say that Couch's treated me very well. I asked a zillion questions and took weeks to pull the trigger. They were patient all the way. I'll seek them when it's time to upgrade.

I agree and did the same on my current truck. Only there was the advantage of an additional 1k rebate to take the Ford financing. I didn't even wait for the bill. I called the day after I got the truck, got my account number, and mailed a check. I was too cheap to pay the month's interest. I got my welcome to FOMOCO financing about two weeks after it was paid off. LOL.

Heard from Lucas at RVW today. They are offering $3k finance incentive now. Depends on the cost of the unit. The rulevis you can't pay it off for 12 months or they get the incentive back.

See, that's one reason why I liked Couch's. Same price and no financing requirement.
