dish install 30 HFS

I'm looking to install a dish in place of my antenna, I was wondering if anyone on here has done this to their trailer?

If it were me I would use one of the small portable units. That way if you were camping under trees you could move it to a clear spot. If it's mounted to your camper you don't have a choice.

I'd leave the antenna alone - you will use it for locals at some point in future. Being a Dish Network customer at home, I went with Winguard Pathway X1 which can feed signal to 2 receivers (rig has exterior connection each for bedroom and living room). Just added the receivers to my existing account, $7 a month for each. Lots of portable options out there, some exclusive to Dish or Direct TV, some can support either.

And I did recently have to move it clear of trees to get signal, worked great. Would advise getting chain and lock to secure it so it doesn't wander off!

If you mount it to the roof and are parked under trees you won't get a clear signal.

I use a Winegaurd carry out and a spare Dish receiver. Even when in the trees I can usually move it around and get a signal.

We have used a Travelr dish antenna for several years. We never had an issue with reception in any camping situation. Including when it appeared (VISUALLY ) the BMS track structure blocked the signal. Spend the extra buck or two....
