domectic t-stat bad

the domectic t stat had been working great . run the air when put on cool and the heat when on furnace . here in west yellowstone it got to 37 last night put the t stat on furnace like normal and the air came on with the furnace . guess it's time for a replacement after only 3 months .what garbage but under warranty so will call FR and see about having them send me a new one . any better replacements out their others might have used ?

Did the fan come on or the actual AC?

guess it could also be the pc board set up the the ac unit . most likely that's it since it is what determines where to send the juice . seems when it on furnace it's sending power also to the ac unit when it should not . what a pain

just the fan on the ac as the temp was set higher then the unit air temp . but the fan in the ac should not come on when t stat is set to furnace . just the furnace should come on not also the ac fan . it's been running fine until last night .
I'll bet the pc board is bad

I may just end up running a separate t stat for the furnace by passing the ac unit pc board all together . not like i can just run to a dealer and wait weeks for them to fix it . maybe FR will send me the parts i need under warranty

Set your fan for auto... When on low or high the ac fan runs with the furnace.... It's a feature.

Amazing how you call it garbage but don't know how it works??

We do keep our fan running when it's cold while running the heat. Especially with a 15 month old. The constant background noise helps keep him from waking up. Plus, it keeps the warmer air even around the camper.

looks like the power failure caused it to reprogram it's self . once i got into the system initialization mode i was able to turn off the ac fan when the furnace is running . amazing how friendly people are around here , now i know why i stopped posting so much thanks for the reminder
