Dropping models

So does Forest River only keep a model for thee years and then drop it? I have a 425 Thunderbolt Amp I don't think they have only been building them for about 3-4 years and now they are gone is there a problem with them and is that why they drop them or the sales are low. Just wandering

If sales are low then its subject to being replaced. Some of the FR lines has twins - same unit but different name & color theme.

I'm quite certain it is all revenue driven and keeping up with features and innovations of competitors. I would also suspect that some changes are driven by suppliers and availability of components and the cost of those components. No matter how good a design when sales become flat it takes a refresh to draw more customer interest.
That is my .02 cents worth but what do I know, I don't even own a 5th wheel. I like the Thunderbolt line but not willing to go 40' or longer, so I have been told the 340AMP is going to 38' and I may jump on that one. I have the advance sales flyer from the factory showing 38' but it hasn't shown up on their website yet.

Yea the 425 says its 40-42 feet and it only lacks a few inches being 45 so I would have to physically measure to be sure.

I agree. My Wildcat 295RSX was made about 18 months. As I understand the situation, a new boy took over running Wildcat and determined they weren't making enough money per unit so they scrapped the line, dropped the BAL NGX frame with the huge basement and large waste tanks and went to Lippert frames - lost many of the features which drew us to the 295.

Seems they are also going to a 13' garage for most models as well.

Had heard some side by sides are closer to the 12.5' mark so woudnt fit in the 12 and 12.5' garages.
