I had a 2014 DBL Cab Silverado with the 6.2 and max tow package and I towed a 32' Tracer Prime Time 3200BHT just fine. I live in CT so it's hilly where I'm at and I never had any issues. I did just upgrade to a 2500 Duramax Crew cab due to my kids were outgrowing the dbl cab and it's a difference like night and day, but overall depending on your trucks config, you should be fine towing

Oh, I hear you on that, making the decision to trade in a perfectly good GMC 1500 SLE wasn't easy...or cheap! BUT...we want to go to a FW in 2017, so here we go.
It looks like you are doing your homework, you will be fine. Keep us posted as to what you choose please.
