Fan-tastic Vent question

Camping all week in Northern Michigan in the 31fqsl. From what I can tell, I have a model 5200 that (based on instructions) should power up at whatever speed it was running when powered off. However, it powers on at max speed each time. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Jeff

Not sure what model FF's I have in my 29hfs but they come on at the speed I turned them off at. (I don't have the camper with me right now...)

I do have one that will turn on (but not open the lid...) when I plug the battery disconnect back in. Something I will have taken a look at during my schedule 60 day follow up.

Overall, my DW and I have loved the FF's...

Is your model like one of these?
Fan-Tastic Vent's OEM 12 Volt Fans

Mine is a 1250. It has a knob that selects OFF/1/2/3 and a rocker type switch that controls out/off/in. If you turn the fan off with the in/out switch, it will come back on at whatever speed the fan was on when it was turned off.

If yours is different(I can't be of help).
If yours "should" operate as I described above, there may be a problem with a switch.

Thanks for the responses. The paperwork included with the coach show several models using the control panel as the identifier and based on that, I believe I have a 5200. The control panel is connected to the fan by an RJ45 connection. I'm guessing my control panel may have an issue. Will contact the manufacturer next week. At least it works.

I found if you hit the blue power button to start, it will ramp up to max speed every time. If you hit the "up" button to start it will retain the settings if the last speed used. Click image for larger version

Also, hitting the power button erases the speed memory.

Dude, u da man. Who'd a thought to turn it off with the down button and on with the up button rather than the power button at the top. Thanks for the input!
