Finally had our 1st Trip w/29HFS
Well after purchasing in April we were finally able to get the new 29HFS out. All went goo except for the master sliding doors, one of them came off the track and wedged itself. What are you guys doing to keep these doors in place?

One of mine has a roller "loose" but has been good. Do you have the factory strap for travel?

WW - No travel strap, guess I didn't get that but I can rig one up, I think thats the only thing that will work.
Steve - Ya the Magnets didn't hold which is why it came off.

Magnets... high tech, huh? Mine is the old strap with a turn thingy.
Kind of like this, but mine has a twist fastener rather than a snap; on one side, the other side is screwed in place:

Cmil,
East side of the cities in Lake Elmo. Love the options of places to camp with a short drive.

I remember that area, we came out last yr to Cross Lake/Whitefish Chain one of the spots we used to go when I lived out there. WOW had it grown a ton since the 70's!

This is not for everyone, but when we purchased our 29HFS, in the deal was for them (Hayden RV, Richmond, Va.) to remove the pocket doors and the wall next to the bed therefore giving us the extra space needed for a full length queen mattress. They done a fantastic job. They moved the light switch and cable hookup to the ceiling. You wouldn't know there ever was a wall there. I'm a big guy and this is perfect for the two of us. Well, the three of us including our Yorkie, Lizzy.

We had the same thing happen, doors were closed and latched by magnet. The back came off the track and door dropped (Pin came out of door). Took back to our dealer (Coates RV in Hugo) They ordered a whole new door (big gouge in it from hitting TV mount) with a bunch of other stuff. No clue how to fix yet will just have a hanging door till parts come in.

Ya not a good design if you ask me.
So I fixed mine and tested it this weekend on a short trip up to Dillon Lake CO and everything worked fine.
The fix was to rig a washer between the pin and female housing it goes into so it doesn't wiggle lose again. I simply removed the trim piece that is at the top of the door opening to gain access to the top of the door. Was easy and it's working now, the trim just pushes back in with existing nails. I also had to put a new stainless cup in the door as the old one was bent up from hitting the door frame, Lowes had them for $5.
Second fix was to get a simple strap I already had and strap around the doors and TV mount piece of the wall(thanks for the idea Wolf Whistle), doors in open position. Worked fine without any movement.
Hope this helps.
