Finally took delivery...
Well, after almost a month, we were finally able to take delivery of our 27HFS. The weekend after we signed the agreement we had a family trip, the next weekend we discovered we had lost the title of the trade in and had to wait on PADot to come through with a replacement. So this past Saturday we finally picked it up.
We spent part of yesterday and Saturday re-packing it and shopping for some new items like wheel chocks. I got the "condor" type from Harbor Freight. They were on sale for $46.
Planning to shake it down the middle of March if the weather cooperates.
Now off to search for threads with mods, specifically interested to see if anyone added a flatware drawer in the drawer blank under the cook top, it appears to have room for it. Also looking to see if anyone added interior doors to access storage under the dinette seats.

Thanks everyone. So far its been great. The dealer, Stoltzfus RV & Marine in West Chester PA was great to deal with and our salesman Chris was very helpful.
Right now we are still working on re-packing our gear, at the same time going through all the things we had accumulated over the years in the old one and deciding what we really need/want to put back in and what isn't necessary. Its funny how much stuff you forget you pack that you don't really use. I don't think we need a half dozen different frying pans and pots. LOL.
I also bought wheel chocks, I decided on the "condor" type from Harbor Freight, they were on sale for $46 each.
We are planning our shakedown cruise for the middle of March, hopefully mother nature will be kind to us.

Next trip is beginning of March--to Daytona for Bike Week. At this point, I'm going to have to snowblow my entire yard to get the camper out!
One thing about your condor chocks: when I went to install mine, I quickly realized the gas tank was right under where the chocks needed to be, so I couldn't just drill through the floor. If you have this issue, PM me and I'll let you know how I got around it. Good luck!

Daytona is quite tempting...VERY TEMPTING!!! hahaha.. good for you.
I got the Harbor Freight rip off of the condor, so they don't have that plate to bolt down, they have a frame that would be about a half inch high that gets bolted down, so I am gonna try to use them with the legs and not bolted down. I don't want a tripping hazard with the kids & grandkids using the bunk area. The parts guy at the dealer said his worked fine that, so we will see. If it doesn't, well I will think of something.

I was going to try this.
Piece of angle aluminum, bolted to the condor wheel chock and then cut slots in the aluminum to fit the tie down ring through. Strap hooks go through the tie down ring.
Completely removable and this wont allow the wheel chock to move.

RVBikers: I have the same HF Condor rip-off (I think its a Pittsburg chock or something like that.) I would not use it without it being bolted down, though--too much potential for movement! I fabricated my own plate, bolted that down to the floor, and welded nuts on the top of it that the chock bolts to. So the chock can come off and the plate stays.
Tx_Rider: While that looks like it would keep the wheel chock from moving, I'm not sure I'd want that kind of lateral, shearing force on that tie-down ring. It's meant to have force applied to it pulling out, away from the floor, not shearing across it parallel to the floor. It's a cool idea, just not sure if the tie-down is up for it. You'd think it is. I hope it is.

Taranwanderer, OK. Thanks. Yeah I'd like to know what you did for the chocks. I'll be on touch.
