Front bedroom wall partition in 27hfs

Has anyone removed or cutdown the front bedroom partition to open the area up?

I would love to just so we can make the bed and access the overhead cabinets in the front bedroom

I was thinking that you could cut it down to the height of the bed frame leaving the lower electrical switches where they are. Then leave about 6 inches of the wall, floor to ceiling on the outside end to relocate the upper light switch and thermostat.

Mine is on order, coming in on March 12. My wife came up with the idea when we viewed the lot model at Lazy Days RV here in Tampa FL. I think it is doable.

We just got ours home , I think will camp in it for a year before I do major mods like that

Believe me, I will do alot of measuring and figuring before I start cutting.

I was checking into that same TT are the RV Show in Dayton ask him that same question. His response was Don't do it, that is a supporting wall. Just thought I would put my nickel in. They are nice TT except for the bedroom layout. I was looking into the 29 XLR or maybe it was the 30. I looked at so many that day I cant remember what size it was. I know it is just over the ½ ton limit or real close to it. I would make a false wall first then move the wall back or maybe even have an opening in the middle somehow. I really dont think there are any load bearing walls in TT's. Don't they build the shell first, than work on the interior? I have a 28 KZ TT right now and it is wide open in the front. The only wall it has is in the rear for the bathroom. I think the roof has crossframes and does not rely on inside walls for support. I think all the inside walls are just partitions and non load bearing.
Can anyone else chime in on this?

Be aware of one thing. I did some remodeling in a previous trailer I had. I removed a tv cabinet to open things up and be able to mount a flat screen on the wall. The cabinet was screwed to the face frame of the cabinet through the ceiling panel. In other words the cabinets and I would assume interior walls are constructed before the roof is completed. I was able to hide mine well with trim and nobody but me knew it didn't come that way.

And this is why I posted here. There is alot of great input from folks here! Things that sometime one does not think of.

As far as the ceiling, I have to wait till I get the trailer and analize it better. I think it is a partition that was added after the ceiling.
