Garage Walls

I would like to add a few storage hooks and brackets for some relatively "light storage" bins in the garage area of my 2011 27'XLR. Just by doing some light pressing on the wall, it feels like there is re-enforcement behind the paneling, in most areas towards the front of the garage. Has anyone attached anything to the walls and is it advisable, within reason?

Thanks

I would try a stud finder. Mine worked to find the studs for mounting the BR. TV.

There is no additional backing, it feels hard because of the vuccum bonded foam. The studs are not 16'' on center either.

Another way to find the studs is on a cool morning when the dew is on the side walls. You will be able to see where every stud is located on the outside of your unit.

Plastic loop held on with sticky tape.
TV mounts are 1x6 front, 2x4 in garage. Covered with felt
Look for mount at "Ready America" . They come with two wall mounts so you can use the TV in two locations

Will the sticky tape tare up the wall paper?

Be careful drilling and I recommend using a really small drill bit to ensure you found a stud. If you look at some of the FR sales literature, you will see the trailer does not have a traditional house frame with evenly spaced studs, it is more an outline of the side wall with a couple supports at certain places. My salesperson told me that there was a stud where the wall paper crease was. I was trying to install a set of steel cabinets. I figured once I got through the steel, I would hit aluminum, stud finder said I was good. nope there wasn't a stud and as soon as the drill got through the steel, it went right through the side, it went through the 3/4" foam immediately. So I had to patch a small hole, there was a stud but it wasn't anywhere near where the sales person said it was.

I guess it could. I don't plan on taking it off or using it for holding anything but the broom. if I wanted to remove it I would heated up with a heat gun.

I use Rubbermaid fast track system in the garage with aluminum rivets. I also use them in the basement storage area too.
