Angry Getting to the dump tank valves

Yes, I saw them when shopping. I saw them again when picking it up from the dealer. I even used them once at the dealer to try it and thought "it shouldnt be too bad". Wrong!

What FR engineer designed the stupid black and gray water valves to be Under the slide and about 2 FEET back from the edge and put the black valve BEHIND the second gray line?!?!?! Have they have been in a camper or used one before?

27HFS for reference but searching I saw the same complaints on others. What I havent found is if anyone has come up with a solution. I am 6'2" with some long arms and it was still a huge pain to get to that black valve. My wife would have had to been flat on her back and slid under to get to it.

Most of our camping is at State Parks with no full hookups so I figured it wouldnt be too bad at dump time. I cant imagine how fun that would be at a full hookup site with the slide all the way out!!

Any fixes or just learn to live with it?

If you search "what did you do to your XLR today" you will see what I did. Put a cable remote dump valve on the black. Moved the gray valve back. I can get to all three valves from one place and don't gave to strain. The valves are made by Alterra.

Installed a Cable pull also on mine, which with the way the valve was glued on I had to mod the housing to get it on. Rarely use the front Grey tank so sometimes it doesn't get dumped..now if both grey tanks were plumbed together I would like that, extra shower capacity.

Here's what my mod looks like. I never got around to painting the bracket. The cable operated valve is partially obscured by the light reflected off the white mat.
