Goodyear G614 Deal For Guys w/16's
Amazon just posted the cheapest price I've seen on the best 16" tires on the market. If anyone is looking to upgrade, here's a great deal. $307.06 with free shipping as of 12-16-15. Their prices are always jumping around so no telling how long it will last....

That is a good price. I paid close to $400 at Discount Tire this summer. That included mounting.

110lbs of tire pressure!
Wow.
But I guess if you need it, you need it. Some folks got a LOT of money tied up in their rigs. A lot.

Yes, they are load range G which acheives it's max load capacity at 110 PSI as opposed to the stock load range E's that run 80PSI. When you have a 21k GVWR, running China bomb tires will cost you a lot more in the end than the GY's...

Where are these made? Many Goodyear trailer tires are made in China

The G614's are made in the US. They are a commercial steel carcass trailer tire with an LT designation. So, basically, they satisfy the LT guys and the trailer tire guys as they are LT trailer position only tires. They only come in one size though so it's just for the guys with larger trailers and 16" wheels. They also require bolt in metal valve stems to handle the increased pressure.

Sailun S637 is an import clone of the GY's at half the price. They too have EXCELLENT reviews. However, the GY's are also known for their warranty service. If you ever do have an issue, GY not only backs the tire with a replacement but also covers trailer damage from the tire failure. They don't do this for their standard ST Marathons etc. Only the G614's.

I have never heard of a warranty covering damage. Do they have to be sold and mounted by a GY dealer to be covered? What is in the fine print?

G614 tires
Remember guys the g614 is to be used with HD rims if you don't run the 110 psi your not getting the best out of the tires and regular valve stems or no good either most fifth wheel rims are not HD and you can see what it's rated for on the inner rim usually I don't know of any tt but I'm sure there are some have seen some cc that were upgraded from factory with 614 on them but not many just make sure what you got before you buy the tires and they don't improve things for you because of rims

Actually, now most 5th wheel rims are rated to 110PSI. LRG tires are a factory option many lines too.

No fine print. It's the factory warranty from GY on this specific tire. Premium tire, premium warranty.

Bought 4 614's at America's Tire. They are stamped " Made in USA" Ask you tire dealer to be sure. I think the Goodyear Marathon's are made in China. Had 2 blow outs with them. I have a 2014 Cardinal. Marathon's are junk.
