Handle at the shower.....

Has anyone mounted or had a handle mounted near the shower for something to hold on to when getting out of the shower?

what are the studs made of behind the wall?

When stepping out of the shower, it feels like my foot in the shower is going to slip and/or when the other foot reaches the floor, that foot feels like its going to slip. We have added a mat in that area but just want a little more assurance.
