Angry Heater Vents Keep Open/Closed

Any tricks to keeping the heater vents open or closed? It seems like the vents I want closed (bathroom) stay open while the vents I want open (back bedroom) stay closed... Just gets frustrating with these round vents.

I'm having the same problem with my AC roof vents they want to keep closing. They are also the round vents.

Mine are different not the AC and aren't closable. I can just point them in a direction. I suppose I can do that on the Heater vents and take out flaps that close/open.
