Help with outside speakers

My husband and I just bought a 2011 XLR 40x12 Toy Hauler.. We have been trying to figure out how to turn on the outside speakers. We asked when we bought it and was told to read the manual.. We have tried this but does not help so we found this great forum to turn to.. We have a SD440USA by Sound Storm installed. Does anyone know how to activate the outside speakers. Thanks for your time..

Im not sure about your trailer, but on mine we tossed in a aftermarket alpine DVD player Head unit, and to play sound on the inside, outside or both you had to adjust The fade control, like in a car it adjusts the soundfield of the car toward the front and the back, anyway thats how mine is setup not sure how else you could of done it i never used the stock one, but i would assume its the same way.. But i have a Stealth Trailer..

NEVER download from ManualsLib - Makes it easy to find manuals online! as they imbed a virus in their manuals. The manual can be VIEWED there (with an overprint) safely.

So, your radio is designed for a car (ie with front and rear speakers).
The FADER works the sound source (either Front or Rear, or a mix of both.

So use the FADER to adjust the sound between inside and outside.

on our 2014 XLR 300x14 the switch to turn on the outside speakers is in the garage.
the stereo unit located in the garage drives the outside speakers...NOT the stereo in the living area..
they are 2 separate systems

My 2013 Roo has very, very quiet outside speakers. I was told its by design. No one else wants to hear your music . As much as I respect others, sometimes it's nice to crank up the speakers when your on a private farm or in the driveway. I still haven't replaced them but I've changed the balance to just the outside speakers so I know they work
