Scott, I'm a fan of just about every XLR floorplan except the 385 which is now discontinued. They all have their pros and cons. The only negatives I see in the 415 is that you are sitting at a right angle to the TV when on the living room couch and that you have to go out into the hall to get into the bathroom from the bedroom. These are things I'd consider and obviously wouldn't matter to everyone else.

415 AMP

We jus' procured our 415. In regard to the living area and TV...we put-up a huge swing-out bracket so there are no bad seats along the couch in the slide-out. I might have to move the TV a bit to get my next beer but...minor inconvenience.

All these nice AMP's are compromises. None were totally perfect for our purpose. This 415 had the most excitement for us.

Man, ain't that the truth. Wife is really set on the 380 because of the extra seating. Had a 415 and a 420 at the Hershey show, and she was going back and forth. She's really stuck on a 1/2 bath floorplan, but the 420 with the deck on it has minimal seating in living room. I tell her she can't have everything- at least she has me Only saving grace I have now is I can tell her they are mostly too heavy for my truck Good for me she doesn't snoop around the internet to find out I'm lying.

I understand completely. Wife doesn't have to know everything about mechanical things and their limitations. My issue here is wife on her toes alla time...

As far as "too heavy for my truck"...we had underpowered class "A" for three years that would pull a dolly & car or mtcyls in trailer but not both. Old 454 is good engine but dragging its 34' camper and 4500lbs of tow equip into Colorado...

We went "all out" here. Financial people ok'd a ridiculously priced F350 turbo diesel to pull 415 camper...but now we have protected transportation and bikes.

We also toured the 380 & 420...some great features! But then our 415 appeared at a great price so...we have the 415 and we're lovin' it. Ours has the couch which doesn't recline and is not sectioned...it may be our first replacement.

Blessed lives here in the American Baptist south. (we came from the cursed North)

My wife liked the 420 but I did not, the second patio is a waste of space, in my opinion

We bought the 417 over 415 for garage space and we didn't like the island in front of the couch. We also didn't like the slideout under the main awning. We love love love the 375, but the garage with 3 season doors wasn't long enough for the 4-seat rzr.
Hope that helps.
