Since we've gone to digital my TV will pick up stations with the antenna down where it had to be up when it was analog. When we boondock in the northern Michigan forest we always go to, it's better to leave the ant. down for us. Crazy. The trailer must be pointed in the right direction. Like others have said, tv on cable or ant. Amp on, scan and voila, hopefully.

I guess you didn't read that the antenna isn't up. It was a joke by the way

We usually boondock in the Jordan State Forest just northwest of Vanderbilt. Apparently they were in there at the area we've camped at for 37 years and decided to clear cut the area. Drat.

Another tv locator app

Don't know if you're still looking, but our free app is "TV Antenna Helper FREE" and it works pretty well.
We also are in the process of switching from a Wingman with digital addition antenna to a Jack antenna; Hoping it will improve our reception.

Spent a couple of days @ Van Buren State Park this last week,,,
Only station I could bring in was Fox 17,,, no surprise to me that CBS 3 could no be found,,, it is one of our weaker stations,,, but there was no NBC 8 or ABC 41 ???

Watched a couple episodes of All In The Family on 17.2,,,
Have not seen that show in years,,, still funny as H !!!

If you have the wingman installed, it points in the direction of the tv station. I keep a compass in the TT so that I know approximately what direction to point it for the initial scan. That is, provided you know what nearest major market you are look to pick up.
