How to attach stuff to the wall?

We tried the spring rod across a space in our bathroom and, like you, it came down with the first vibration. I took a couple of pieces of 3x4x1/2" wood, made a circle in it big enough for the end of the rod and attached the wood to the wall where we wanted the rod to go. The ends of the spring rod go in through the circle to the wall and it keeps the rod from vibrating off. (sorry no pics) We use it to put our towels on and so far its held up and not fallen down. Good idea about attaching a long board and then attaching things to this. Cincia

Command hooks are good for lightweight items. We've had one up for 5 years for a calendar that also has a little velcro tab I installed at its bottom to prevent swinging.

Heavier items (and repairing FR's screws that pull out from the wall) can be attached anywhere except where there's a stud using expanding bolts. Slide it in through the drilled hole, tighten the bolt, and the split housing spreads out into a star pattern that locks the housing to the wall. Remove the bolt and reinstall it through a hole in your item to be hung and it'll never fall down. Expanding bolts come in different diameters and lengths. I believe that the thin panelling FR uses is around 3/32" thick.

I hung a towel bar in the bath and used some plastic moly screws that are like plastic shields. The difference being when the screw goes in it "butterflies" the plastic behind the wall. Seems to have worked so far but whatever you do isn't going to hold a lot of weight. The adhesive removable plastic hooks work well also.

Home Improvement stores sell a variety of these, if you don't want to make your own. I stuck some up with good double-sided tape.

Try a "new to you" plastic milk crate. 20# or 30# tanks fit nicely and they don't bounce around the truck when I go to refill them, as long as they are secured

I use the command strips in my rv and at home they work great and can be removed and reused without leaving any marks

Home Improvement stores sell a variety of these, if you don't want to make your own. I stuck some up with good double-sided tape.
I wanted something that matched the tt so I used walnut (which matches the interior) but your idea would work well and be faster. Cincia

GMCD, You don't say how heavy the stuff you want to hang is. Command strips would be my choice if they will work and they come in all kinds of styles and "heft". Your TH, like so many constructed this way does have studs, but not in the sense that your home does. They are very light weight (thin) aluminum and are bonded into the skin and insulation as well as placed for function rather than a particular "on center". I don't know of a stud finder that would work. I'll attach photos of how I found the so called studs on my 29 (like aquaman suggested) and where they are located. rracer's suggestion of using the heater buddy hose is what I use on my heater buddy, but should be good for your grill; but you could also simply refill the 1 pound cylinders with an adapter you can find on Amazon. I have both.

Thank you all for your advice.I just need to hang towels in bathroom,some pictures and some things in garage.Just to get organize a little.

we took some 3/8in think maple and stained to match the cabinets and some construction adhesive to hold it to the wallboard. Then when screwing anything on it we just use long enough screws to go through the wall too.
