Bypass valves for 2018 Geo Pro 16BHG
Greetings,
I recently purchased a 2018 Geo Pro 16BHG and am getting it ready for a trip. I am prepping the water system, but cannot find the bypass valves on the water heater. I took a picture of the back of the water heater and attached it to this reply. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Ant

Ant, that looks different from the back of the Suburban SW6/SW8/SW10 that's in 90% of the RVs. Could you post the brand and model of your water heater?

There are a number of ways the manufacturers have come up with to plumb the WH valves. Some have 3 manual valves, some have two with a check valve, some have two 3-way valves.
See the attached and figure out which version you have.
For regular (2-way) valves, the valve is open when the handle is in line with the two lines attached to the valve. When the handle is perpendicular, the valve is closed.
For 3-way valves, the valve is open to the line that the handle is "in line with" and closed to the other line.

Rocky, did you look at his picture? No valves are visible. I was wondering if the OP had an "on-demand" tankless water heater. That's why I asked him for make and model number.

Yeah, but I wasn't sure what I was looking at. You're probably right. I have no experience with tankless heaters; thought it may have been the hoses coming through some kind of panel.
Witchbiker - if you have a tankless WH, ignore my post.

Are you sure that's the back of the water heater?

I also see his black tank flush vacuum breaker valve. It's not even mounted properly. It should be vertically and 6" above his black tank, wherever that is.

Yea sorry folks for confusing the thread. I guess I should have started a new one. Anyway, the picture I posted was not the back side of my hot water tank after all. The hot water tank in my Geo Pro is under the rear bunk. Trying to figure out how to get the drawers out or take off the panel to access.

Antfort, if that's your pic, you should look into mounting your vacuum breaker valve properly or you may end up with water, water everywhere. They are designed to be mounted vertically.

That photo is just oriented incorrectly.
The part where the red and blue PEX lines are is actually the floor.

Yeah, it looks a lot better when I hold my laptop that way!
