You're not kidding. I didn't realize that JT was bought out by Lippert.
While they were willing to send me a new one, I had to fight with them over it to get them to do it--they didn't want to honor the 2-year warranty because I bought from Amazon, not directly from them. So yes, they were going to send me a new one, but I figured if I wanted to get it done, I'd have to tap it myself. I have a tap set around here somewhere, but I just wound up taking it to my auto mechanic, who's a great dude, and he did it. So...
I finished the install yesterday too. Got the rears on, and despite the fact that's it's only 2 arms instead of the 4 up front, the rear was harder. Had to drill into a square tube crossmember and use the self-tapping bolts, which $uck, to say the least. Glad it's done, trying it out next weekend at Lake George!
