Just Ordered a 27HFS
So, I just ordered my 27HFS for pick up in April. We are super excited about it. I downloaded the PDI checklist, but, is there any particular items that we should check when we take delivery?
I noticed that it appears the 2014 now includes the 8" I beam Frame as standard, which used to only be available on the Extreme package, is this true?

i would verify you can add gas to the fuel storage tank. Often it doesn't have enough drop to even fill (it just pours back out). Some have not had the pump motor work that operates the fuel station either..
pretty sure it was remedied back in late 2012, but verify you have 4400lb axles or bigger, not 3500lb ones that they came with for a short time.

I have a 2011 f150 fx4 with the 5.0 v8 and it pulls the camper great with a 550cc arctic cat and a 250cc kawasaki four wheelers in the back. My truck gets about 9-10 mpg pulling around 65mph. I have a 2014 hfs and it had the 6" frame, no extreme weather package.

We picked up our 2014 27HFS in January and love it. Perfect floor plan for the two of us. I pull it with a 2011 Tundra. Put a really strong sway bar on the back of the truck, and invested in a Reese load balancing + anti-sway hitch. Had it out twice for a total of 2,000 miles and have had no sway issues. Next trip the Harley goes with us, so we'll see if that matters.
