Level Up System creaking

We've had our 2015 XLR Thunderbolt 340-X12 5th Wheel for about a week and a half now and the Level Up System is making creaking sounds like the jacks are moving down or adjusting. Has anyone else had this and is it normal?

This is our first camper so still getting used to the quirks.

Lippert and others sell oil additive that help or reduce the groaning caused by minute slippage when system is under use. If you talk to a rep also ask about the cylinder valves at the pump manifold, sometimes the bypass portion is slightly open.

Haven't seen it move. Just sounds like the landing gear is moving slightly.

It is known issue with the level up systems and stiction. If you goto LCI you can read about it in the FAQ and they offer ways to address it by removing 1 qt of existing hydrolic fluid and replacing it with a quart of anti stiction.

I found that my level up system only creaks if I lift too much weight off the suspension to level. If I find I have to raise one side too much that it nearly fully extends the suspension movement on one side that if I put a board or two under the wheels to keep the weight on it does fine. I plan to ask for the dealer under warentee to do the anti stiction additive for me.

Ok cool. Now after you run the level up system and it is finished the process do you keep hearing this sound. The reason I ask is that the LCI level up system should turn off. If you keep hearing sound you may have a leak down going on in the system. This is not to say that it is leaking out any oil, but could be bypass into the reservoir.

The system is off and has been in the yard leveled for over a week. It just makes a creaking/popping sound every once in awhile. It's not constant.

I also just checked and it's still reading that it's level.

I have talked to a local dealer and he told me that it may have air in system and it will work itself out as it is used. You may also get your dealer involved also. The other post here that talked about sticking also sounds like what you have going on. Only thing is make sure the dealer knows what is happening so you are covered.
