Loaded tongue weight on 27'HFS

I just bought a 2012 27'HFS Hyperlite. Can someone who owns one tell me what your average tongue weight is with about 1000lbs in the cargo area and what ever else you have in the living quarter. I have read some say they have to add water to get more weight on the tongue. Read with 1000lbs in the cargo area you will only have about 600lbs of TW. Does this sound about right? What are weight with and without water. Dry weight on my trailer is 6300 lbs, i will have about 1000 in back and another 500-600lbs with water and supplies. So around 7800-8000lbs loaded. I'm trying to figure out what size hitch I need to order.

Thanks,
Mike

I don't have scale #'s to give you but I can tell you I ran 1000 lb spring bars on my 1/2 ton and was not happy. Stepped up to 1200 lb bars and made a difference. My issue was rear end sag on the truck. Eventually bought 3/4 diesel with same hitch and really enjoy the current setup.

I have not weighed my TW either but I can say that the more you put in the garage the more TW you will need. A light TW will give you the wiggles.

Youroo tell me how asking how much TW this trailer has when loaded with 1000lbs in the cargo area has anything to do with my post from yesterday on, "should I run a P Series tire or an E Series and what brand of WDH I should use". Please tell me. I new to this and just want to get the best set up for my truck and trailer. I have not had the luxury of taking my trailer to the scales to weight the TW to see because I just got my truck Saturday and need to order a WDH before I pull it. I got some really great info yesterday on my original post on the tires and everyone said the Blue Ox and EQ hitch were the ones to use for my set up. So that is what I'm buying.

What I am trying to find out in the post is an average approximate TW of this 27'HFS when loaded with about 1000lbs of in cargo area so I will know which weight WDH to order. Thank you so much for your time!

Mike
