Maxxair vent cover

Will the maxxair vent covers work with the maxxair power roof vents that come on the thunderbolts? I had maxxair vent covers on my old trailer and I don't think that it allows you to open the vent all the way.

They will NOT. I tried to put one on mine, on a Columbus 5th wheel. Power vent lid didn't have enough room to open and work correctly. Ended up putting one on the manual roof vent in the bathroom, but not on the power vent.

The "MAXXFAN and MAXXFAN PLUS" have built in mounting Tabs for Install of the "FANMATE" vent cover! The "MAXXFAN Deluxe" Needs No cover,it is built in! Youroo!!

The problem with those built in tabs, if your referring to the ones molded into the plastic mounting flange, is they require you to push the cover down into the sealant around the vent. Our covers that came from the factory were mashed into the wet sealant by Rockwood when they built the rig so they could use those built in tabs. Both vents developed leaks in a couple months where the covers were pushed into that sealant.

I had to re install them using Maxxairs metal L brackets which raise the cover above the sealant. I believe they call them the zero leak
mounting kit.

To answer the OP's question, Use the "FANMATE" Cover from Maxxair! Youroo!!

The maxxair vents I have do not need an additional cover.. The cover lifts up and down with a motor as it is turned on ... When it's , up, rain doesn't get in... far better design than say... fantastic fans
