My first camper.

Last couple years I had a tent decided it was time for a upgrade.... Went with the nitro 39dks5

I love it so far I've had it out once and everything went great. I'm just wondering what problems I should look out for? I know my truck is over weight with this and I'm fine with that I pull much more weight everyday for work with a single rear wheel 2500 as well.

Thanks!

I bought the same unit have owned it less than two weeks, here are the major problems I found wrong so far

Back water valve leaks
Fantastic fan in the galley only has power when the lights are on.
Front Bedroom window scratched frame and bent

Look at the front corners of the front cap, where its mounts to the sides. I found cracks in the gel coat, my fear is it will spread. Click image for larger version

Last big concern I found a air bubble in the front cap near the top right marker light. Size of a silver dollar, I can move it around by pushing on it.

We hand waxed ours and covered every inch, it's a lot of work but that's how you find all the flaws.

I put a shock on the back door also, if the door were to open all the way it smacks into the awning brackets.

I am wondering what the hell did I get myself into.

Forgot to add, we have used the slide out three times, it leaves white marks on the floor in the kitchen, been in contact with the dealer, they asked me to wait until they slow down a little, (after memorial weekend)

Aweosme thanks! I didn't notice any leaking from the black water. My slides have been in and out atleast 20 times with no white marks left behind. I'll have to check for the cracks and bubbles. I'm unsure how the front window would bend? I haven't noticed the back door hitting the awning but I'll have to check it out! Thanks a lot for tips on what to watch for. Has me a little scared haha a lot of money! My only issue so far (that I've noticed) is a trim piece that they hit but ran out of staples so I had to staple up and some of the red leds up front don't come on. How do you turn the light on in the front pass threw stroage? I can't find that switch for the life of me.

The lights in the front pass through are a tap light, push on the lens

Awesome thanks! Hey guys my plan was to cut out the in between campers and just get the one we wanted to try and save some money in long haul! We camp with 9 couples and go to the dunes on top of it so we new we would use it and new what we wanted. There's a hell of a lot nicer toy haulers out there but this will service us great with a price tag half of most tripple axle toy haulers

That is a really nice looking set up, from the front of the truck to the tip of the party deck. Good luck, I'm hoping to step up to a 5er like that in my 5-6 year plan.

What fun us that to cut out the in between campers! Not getting to work out the bugs on several ain't right! Nice rig and smart (too smart, in my opinion)
