While we do not have the 29 But the XLR 27hfs has the same basic layout and we really like the unit and it does suit us well, We use it primarily to go to the races, haul up to 4 off road bikes with out any trouble.
#1 The heater for us it is very noisy, but having heat sure is a lot better than having no heat
#2 Ac is too small should be larger as a standard item, ours could not keep up with the demand either
#3 Sliding door between the bath and garage would be nice, My question is why are the doors cut so high off the floor? 1" ok, 1 1/2" maybe, but 3" is way too much, and we think a rubber flap under the door to garage would be nice too to keep out fuel smells from the coach,
#4 hard to improve over all lighting when the happy jack bed is up, perhaps some LED's under the bed? just an idea
#5 Sewer valves don't bother me, I dump when the slide is closed anyways
#6 no issues with toilet so far except the black tank flush didn't work, I found it was the cheap back flow valve was stuck. a better quality valve did the trick for us
#7 Why use such cheap hinges on the doors? it doesn't cost much more for a better quality hinge
#8 additional counter space would be a great idea,
#9 More markers lights would be good, but first get the ones that are there operational for us they are spotty at best, they keep going off and on for us, the uppers sometime half are on and some time none at all, I have looked for loose wires but nothing found yet
#10 replace the fuel station with a keg-orator problem solved
We don't have the fuel station and I carry our fuel in the back of the tow vehicle to limit the risk of spills in the garage.
#11 Door stops would be nice too
I'm going to add a couple more
#12 Add a switch on the wall for the exhaust fan in the bathroom,
# 13 dinning table ,is much to high for sitting at, probably so you can use it for additional counter space but is is very wobbly needs a better leg set up, and there should also be a location to store it during travel so it doesn't bang around, If I where to buy another XLR, I would strongly consider the pull out couch in the slide instead of the table
#14 for me the outside shower location is on the wrong side of the unit, if you where to use it there there would be mud and mess being tracked into the trailer who wants that.
other things on my wish list to add
power tongue jack
awning tie down
awning over slide
I have also been considering a awning like tent over the garage ramp door area to create an out side work space something that attaches to the TH and mounts on poles on the other side help keep the weather out of the ramp area.
