Outside shower trouble

I have a 15 nitro xlr and I have used the outside faucet b4 but now I am having trouble getting the quick connect blue coul hose on. Any suggestions?

Mine was difficult to use and even more so if there is pressure on the line. I took off the original quick connect and replaced it with a standard male hose fitting. Works so much better and allows the use of any hose with a standard hose end.

I had the same problem. We unhooked the city water and turned an inside faucet on without turning on the pump. Once the pressure was out of the lines, the hose hooked up.

Like the other poster suggested, you are expierencing back pressure in the quick connect fitting. You need to dump pressure then connect. What I was able to do was flip the housing 180 degrees so the hose storage door can remain open ,while closing the compartment door. That way I leave the hose connected with the nozzle in the shut off position, and don't run into that issue.

I do not know your actual set up, but that might work in your application as well.

Sometimes I take a small screwdriver and poke it where you plug the hose in on the quick connector. This relieves the pressure then hose plugs in with no problem. Just remember water will squirter at you!

I had the same issue, the spring loaded seal is just stuck. I tried poking it at first but found it was easier to take it apart and reassemble had mine fixed in less than 2 mins
