plywood floor on slide, too wide for recliner option???

Has anyone cut the plywood floor on the slide? The extra depth or width, is probably needed when there's a dinette, but think when you get the recliner option it isn't necessary to extend so far into the living room space... and I think some can be cut off... maybe 3 or 4 inches. When the recliners are in their normal place, when you sit, the plwood floor (which is covered with loose carpet) causes you to step on it and can cause a trip or twisted ankle. I have nearly tripped on it. I suppose there are very few XLR folks with the recliner option to have experienced this.

I have the recliners. I have thought the lip on the edge of the slide was a bit obtrusive, but I don't think I'd go so far as to want to cut it. Never thought about it, I guess.

I noticed it the first week, but several trips later (pun intended) I looked closer and can see some of it can be removed. What's stopping me right now is the thought of cleaning up the sawdust. Maybe with a sabre saw and a vac held close, might not be so bad??

I see "2015 XLR Hyperlite 29HFS" in his signature.

Raise the carpet and look under the slide floor. You will see support rollers. With the room all the way out see how much room you have between the front edge of the floor and the rollers. That will determine how much floor you might be able to remove. If it was me, I would leave it alone and just deal with it.

I looked today. A couple of inches could come off, but considering the mess, I pulled the couch out more and will live with it. Glad I thought of that
