Price Opinion 29HFS

Went to look at a 2017 29hfs yesterday
Options include
-kick start
-adrenaline package
-electric tongue jack
-15k ac
-bed and dinette in garage
-sofa up front

Build sheet price $40,547.5

They were asking $32,995

I got them down to $27,870 plus tax & registration.

still a little higher than I was hoping with those options compared to what I see on rvw and couch. Did they make me a fair offer you think? I left the ball in his court hoping he comes back in a day or 2 with a lower price.

I'd say 30 to 35% off msrp is a good price.

I figured the price was fair, has anyone bought one of these in the off season? Do they wiggle much on them then at all even or not much since they don't really have problem selling them?

Ricky, there comes a time in every purchase to stop "squeezing the last drop out of the turnip"! I think you're there, very fair price as verified by several folks here! Buy it and get on with it---enjoy the summer camping in your new RV. Why lose a entire camping season waiting for the "off season" to MAYBE, just MAYBE, save another few hundred bucks?????

I understand that, and I know I'm shopping at the worst time possible. I'm just asking around for opinions.

not really the prices if you look at couches or RVW are the same yr round . you seem to be getting everything you want for a price that's right in there with the best of them .

Thanks for the replies, I am probably going to pull the trigger on the unit. I'd rather have upgraded windows vs the power tongue jack but it'll do for the price. I was also curious, rvw and couchs, do they sucker you in with the low cost and then add shipping, and other fees onto price so it's not really good of deal as it seems? That's what the dealer kept trying to tell me to make his deal sound better. I'm not much of a haggler, I prefer the best price first, take it or leave it rather than go back and forth to get the best price. Thanks again.

Price Opinion 29HFS

I can Speak for RVW the price I was quoted was the same price when I drove there from Seattle - no additional cost - except for the terrible gas Milage towing it back to Seattle - lol

if I could of found any Dealer in the NW with that price I would of jump on it - and a shop that will service your Toyhauler close by worth money In the bank

Just bought from Couch. Their price is their price. If YOU add an option, YOU pay for it. If not, you don't. I didn't pay a nickel more than the quoted price when I went to get it.

Well the dealer I wanted to purchase this unit from didn't really want my business, after a week of getting the run around and not getting calls returned I said screw em. If I have to beg them to take my money who knows what'll happen if I need warranty work.

I found another unit from another dealer 2017 29hfs,
-kick start package
-adrenaline package
-extreme weather package
-off grid prep
-15k ac unit
-Bed and dinette in rear
-convection microwave

They priced me at $28,355 + tax n doc fees with no effort, I think that is a fair price for all those options. It doesn't have the sofa in the front like we wanted but I think we will get by with the dinette.

We scrapped our dinette and have two Lazyboy RV recliners. Took about a half hour to pull the dinette and the slide is finished underneath it. Never looked back.

Right, I don't want nor need the off the grid but its got the other options I wanted otherwise at least. Hard to get exactly what you want at a good price without having to order it.

I did checked with them yes, they were more expensive since I did not want to use their financing, I got 2.99% from my local credit union. They also didn't have any 17's in stock and wouldn't for about a month or so.

I will say they were very helpful tho, nice people there.

I started the process if ordering. But, settled for one already ordered with less than what I wanted... So I compromised. Turns out the one ordered really wasn't and my wait would have been the same. If its in stock I might compromise but I'd rather get what I want by ordering. Also. The XLR factory can add options the dealer isn't aware of.... cool things. You name it
