Question For 29HFS People

I am in the process of buying a new 29HFS and was wondering what the biggest TV is you can mount in the available space(s).

In the area designated for a TV and otherwise.

I am a little over a thousand miles away from it and Black Friday is coming so.....

Thanks for any help......

I have 32" in living area and I know you can squeeze a little bit bigger one in that space. I have 24 in bed room since you are within 10 feet of it anyways, and that wall is open so you can put whatever size you want on it.

Measured my 2015 29hfs opening at 22 3/4" height and 40" width. Just picked up a 40" Samsung at Target that is at 22" tall and 37" wide. Will not be installing it until next spring but will be taking to the camper this week to make sure it fits nicely.

I've got a 42" fit's perfect on a pullout swivel mount . the wall between the bed room and living area is 47.5' w if you count the trim and 44.5w if not , same would go for the bedroom side lol

Question For 29HFS People

Mine's a 30hds but I think the fronts are the same. I installed a 40" and have 1" above and below the tv.

I have a 32" on a tilt swivel mount. It sticks out quit a bit when fully swiveled around; for that reason I won't be going to a wider set. The bedroom could handle a 40" or slightly larger, but you are so close to the set a 20" would be big enough. The garage IMO is a small wall and probably anything larger than a 20ish" could be in the way if on a swivel mount.

After thought... Went out there and imagined what size for the bedroom. And considering what they sell for now. I'd go with either a 26 or 32 inch. I still think 26 would be great for the toy bay. I think even short me would hit his head on a 32". Make sure the mounts are substantial so the will take the rough ride. Personally I avoid taking down a set for travel. To lessen this I have the ez flex equalizer on order, hoping this will help.

What mount did you use? I'm gonna put a Sony Bravia 40"
on the same wall. Was concerned with the depth of the mount screws
I have a 29HFS and it is the same as your 30

I got my swivel mount from WallMart. I'm not sure of the model, but can get the number if you need it.

As far as how to fasten a mount: the wall, has a vertical 2" x 6" (1-1/2" x 5-1/2" actual) stud centered on the wall and on both sides of that wall (LR & BR) And, there is a clear space in the center where the sliding doors don't travel; meaning you can use a 2" lag / large screw without screwing into and screwing up a sliding door. You can move a door to one side and peer down into the space with a flashlight and see what I'm talking about.

The actual usable width of the stud is probably 4-1/2", since you don't want to be any closer than 1/2" to the edge, but dead center is how my mount was set up. Forget attaching anything that has to hold weight on the 1/8" luan with vinyl covering; won't hold diddly squat. I would restrict fastening to those 2 x 6s only, which FR so graciously provided.

Now when I added the overhead cabinet and the drop-down shelf, I did attach to the thin plywood, but only to pull the plywood to the cabinet or shelf structure... for appearance... 99.99% of the support is from 2 or more screws into those wonderful 2 x 6s.
