Question Regarding Installing Generator in XLR 27HFS w/ Prep Pckg

Closely related I think... I want to add a genny to my 30 HDS. It is prepped for one now just not sure I want to lose the space. If I choose to not use an onboard genny will my fuel station still work? If I go with an onboard what size do I need with a 15k a/c?

Thank you for any suggestions.

They are a touch quieter. The 6k diesel is 66db and the 5500EVAP I have is 69db. If I was going to upgrade mine though, I'd stay gas and go to a 7k EFI. It's a plug and play swap other than swapping the pump and adding a return line. Both are very easy... Talking the wife into the cost of the upgrade is a hair more difficult....

I have the 4k onen and 2000 Honda the Honda is by far quieter barely know it's on when running a few feet from toyhauler and never have had a camper near by complain about the Honda - but the onen you 100% know when it's on it's loud and yes I have the supposedly silencer extension exhaust kit

dave961, I may take you up on the idea for making it better. The first modification for me will be a wood stove. And then I should have some time this summer to add a few more things. Off hand, have you added a flip down counter at the edge of the sink in front of the door? I'd like more counter space and have thought about doing this....

PH, maybe a Honda is the way to go.

If I remember correctly db is not linear, it is exponential.
3db is noticible difference.

We previously used two Honda 2000, singularly for satellite TV and others and as a pair when when running AC and microwave. We had an external fuel tank that would feed both. The fuel usage was awesome. The noise with one wasn't so bad but two wasn't exactly that great. Carbs weren't cheap.....

Will one EU2000i Honda run the microwave or do you need two for that?
