Radio comes on when first plugged in

Does anybody have a problem with their radio in the XLR Thunderbolt? Every time we either plug in the toy hauler or turn the battery on the radio comes on.

I don't know for sure, but that could be normal. If you are unplugged AND have the battery turned off, the radio wouldn't have any 12v power to it to maintain the memory (Clock, radio station presets, etc). I have always had the batteries still on when my trailer is unplugged. It stays plugged in 99% of the time though, so I have never had that happen.

Have the same problem with ours, 2013 386x12. Dealer said that the only thing we could do is put a on / off switch on the power lead going to the radio. I have to open the slides to turn it off if I turn the battery switch on when taking it out of storage. When I get time I'm going to wire a switch at the radio.

Same here, the radio is directly powered straight off the battery. Just put a on/off switch in and your good.

My radio has a fuse in the panel 12v side. It stays on all the time for the memory, but that's how they wired it in. The only direct wire to the battery is the CO monitor, but I put a switch on that. But of course I have a different unit, They must have a fuse inline somewhere. If not I sure would add one for it. Not quite the same as co detector just my opinion. Plus you didn't ask for it either.....

I know on my radio there is only 4 speakers. 2 in and 2 out so you need to adjust the fader to put it only inside or outside. Hope this helps
