Refrigerator quit working

My fridge quit working on gas or electric. Worked fine last weekend. Will call for warranty Tuesday but looking for thoughts of stuff to check. Gas is full. Electric is on. Tried auto and gas only. Restart few times. Checked some fuses in outside access panel ?

Make sure your battery is up to snuff!

When you press the "on" button, does the "auto" light come on?

You must have a good 12 volt (fully charged) battery or a working converter to power the fridge even when on shore power.

If the AUTO light is on; next stop is under the outside panel. Look for a black plastic box. There are two long fuses in there, one for AC and one for DC/GAS.

Also check the stack overtemp sensor. If it has popped; push it back in.

We had the same problem last month with ours. The refrigerator would come on in either gas or electric but would never cool. You could even hear the electric cooling fans kick in after enough heat was built up. I tried everything I could while camping, turned off for several days, unplugged 120 volt, disconnected 12 volt with nothing working. Took it to the dealership a couple of weeks later and it has worked fine since.

What did they fix. Or did it fix itself until it's out of warranty(haha). I hope we find a bad part otherwise she won't trust it. Had to go get coolers and ice for food. And I all ready had five coolers home

We had the same problem with our fridge in our (new) unit last year when we bought it. Took it back to the dealer and had them replace the whole fridge. I'd insist on it. My wife did, and she can be very persuasive... I think they got a bad batch of fridges from Dometic at some point.

Picked up my th from the dealer. They said there was a air bubble in ammonia line ? Took fridge out turned upside down for a few minutes then right side up let everything settle and it works now. Any thoughts

Our 2015 Avenger had a bad cooling unit which was promptly replaced under warranty. The service technician suggested Dometic manufactured a bad batch.

This can happen when you operate the unit out of level.

Evaporative cooling requires a level platform for the liquid ammonia to return smoothly to the reservoir. Good thing you got this fixed. The next stop was a cracked boiler and loss of coolant from overheating.

Good information Herk. I'm going out to write down the fuse numbers and stock a few... just as soon as it cools off.. its 102 here now... nope just popped up to 103. I've already been drenched earlier... washed truck and camper; shirt and shorts couldn't have been wetter if I had jumped into a pool.
