Why would Forest River not hook up the water line on the XKR but they did on my 2013 Cardinal and on my current 2015 Georgetown. Both have residential refers in the slides. Doesn't make sense.

Different brand's decisions are at the discretion of their respective management. FR is a parent company but each brand is independently operated and makes it's own decisions.

Right, I was going to say that but I believe the unit XLR uses is an internal icemaker only and no water dispenser.

I would be pretty upset if I bought a unit with an ice maker and then found out I can't use it because the factory won't hook it up.

I am more upset with the dealer and their lack of knowledge and unwillingness to help me diagnose problems. They first told me that they love folks who help out with their own warranty work, but when I try to ask for help diagnosing a problem they just tell me to bring it by--which is a little hard when you are FTing.

As someone new to RVing in general it has been a rocky start and so far I have been largely unimpressed. Some of it is probably due to my own expectations while the rest are legit concerns. I have already written the dealer off and told them I will go elsewhere for any work I cannot do myself and they will get no recommendations from me.

I checked under the slideout where the gas/power connect to the slideout for the kitchen but did not see a water line. This leaves me to believe that it does not have a water line to feed the ice maker, but hoping someone could verify for me. Thanks!

well thats just brutal...

If they had issues why not install fridges without ice makers/water dispensers? Id be freaking choked if i spent that kind of money on a unit and its not even plumbed in!

Hopefully they at least ran the fresh water line to an easy access point for people to hook it up themselves without having to drop the belly and hack into the water line...

but hey, at least your fridge still works, mines dead
