Residential fridge not working while heading down the road

We have a 2015 375amp that has the residential fridge. So no propane. While heading down the road, the fridge is not on. The inverter/converter is on and being maintained by my upgraded 220amp alternator on the tow vehicle. Why is the fridge not on? No blown fuses, buses are good, etc.
I could check the inverter if I knew where it was. Some come with resettable fuses on the unit itself. I know the pure sine wave inverter is on because the remote switch LED is in the on position.

As I replied in your other thread you most likely don't have a converter.
Looking @ lxr's website it's not listed as an option .

Your fridge only runs on gas when not hooked to shore power.

Yep looked right @ the 110 fridge with "inverter"
I apologize!
With that being said.
Look real close by the batteries.

Yup. It sure does. That's news to me. So you should be able to follow the cables coming off of your battery to track it down. It shouldn't be that far away.

Residential Fridge and Inverter

I have had this problem before. If you look in the basement under the refrigerator you will find the inverter. You may have to open one or both of the access panels to see it. The inverter has a standard duplex GFI receptacle and you will find your fridge plugged into one of them. I will bet that the GFI has triggered. Just push the reset button on the GFI and you should be in business. When you are on shore power the inverter doesn't power the refrigerator and there is a small black box that is a transfer switch that applies shore power to the fridge and bypasses the inverter. The symptom is as soon as you remove shore power, the fridge goes off.

Bet that is your problem...it was mine!

Residential refrigerator

For those who remember me I had a similar problem with refrigerator. This is what happened to me and the solution. We have an ice maker. It would make cubes fall into bucket. Then the cubes would melt so it showed the refrigerator would shut off. When those cubes, melted the refri. would turn back on freeze the water in bucket make new cubes dropped them......melt them so we would end up with a BLOCK of ice ( you should of seen the glass we tried to put it in) I wrote to the forum a smart RVer mentioned that it sounded that my inverter was getting hot, would shut off until cooled down. Then start up again. Very close.....my rep. At FR said the batteries are probably hooked up wrong. He sent me a diagram of how they should be connected and he was right. The inverter was not even working properly because of the batteries being wrong. Now no problems with shore power or driving. Simple fix. Hope this helps

The problem with my ref. not running on the battery was also the GFI plug on the inverter had tripped, I can reach it though the visual port I put in to view the inverter

Also, on my model XLR the ref. does not charge from the truck or when plugged into 110 until I installed a dual battery charging system.

In the beginning, we were not running a charge line to the second battery location. If you contact your local dealer and have them run the line it will be covered.
