Roof ladder

Has anyone had any issues with the folding roof ladder attached to the side rear? Used the ladder for the first time this past weekend and my wife was trapped on the roof after I observed that 2 of the 3 side brackets holding the ladder to the trailer popped off! Rivets failed

I hope you found a safe way to get your wife off the roof. What year is the trailer? Maybe warranty through your dealer if this still applies.

Wonder what the weight limit is on these ladders?

I was just trying to figure out how you got your wife up the ladder? Maybe if there were shoes or pocketbooks up there mine would go.

Exactly! Incredible... where does one find such a DW?

Seriously, I have to wonder if this bracket was actually designed to carry all the weight on only four flimsy pop rivets? Or, is there something more substantial at the top?

I do know when I(not wife) goes up the ladder I try to move easily up the ladder as to not shake or pull on it to hard.

Cool! Be careful up there! The last time I cleaned my roof (now with solar panels - in the way) I figured I would take off my shoes so to not leave marks... bad idea! Bare feet do not grip a slick EPDM roof as well, at all. So, I'll make sure I have clean deck shoes in the future.

Happy camping!
