I found this site to be very helpful since all the models had separate sections to prevent confusion between models.
This topic was posted on the XLR section. Some of the people that seam to be confused have other models.
I'm not sure if all XLRs have the the 3/4" hose connection.
But I like it over the open cap type.

Plastic bag with a hole in it would work well even without a ladder.

Results would be the same.

Just saying.

There has been other issues like caps, washers falling in and kids putting rocks in the FWT supply.

This site has it all !

MT, if your gone all day and left your dog there barking all day, contaminated water would be the least of your worries. Not that any of "us" would do such a thing.
Tank 15' away = pressure fill
Tank directly below = gravity fill
Barking dog = pee in your tank

wouldn't own a cat, but respect those that do; love dogs, but don't like inconsiderate people that let them bark all day, who would? Don't piss off the chef or waitress or an old sergeant. But the purpose of my hypothetical story was to point out a purpose for a locking fill door. I must have hit a nerve, sorry about that.
