Not to give WW apoplexy, but I have a short piece of hose for my basement dehumidifier. Wouldn't hooking that to the water connection and then pouring the bleach solution down work? Just wondering.

I already have... Apopo... Apol... What BH said. #34 is the best answer or solution to the OP. Because.... drum roll... wait for it...... 1 cup if 5% (or 5.5%) bleach mixed with at least 1 gallon of water in a bucket would be too much for the typical fill hose. You would have to repeat a few times; since bleach at full strength should not be poured in the hose (or directly into a gravity filled tank WHERE A FUNNEL WOULD WORK!!) The siphon mixer would work for the OP by siphoning straight bleach or a bleach / water mixture as you filled the tank; as long as there was sufficient reserve space in the FWT. Now... I can tell you where to put your gall-durn funnels. But that could get me banded

The Overflow or vent hose ... overflows. When I see water hitting the ground I immediately stop filling. I suppose if you were filling the tank could be filling faster than the cent could let water out. But just stop filling. I don't have locking fill door. I've never seen a locking door for that purpose.

Yes very large vent hose , no ballooning and no locking doors on gas just standard locking gas caps.
It's simple , again no funnels, pee or rocks!

How about if we harness the power of a funnel cloud?
