Slide bottom

Looking at a 2015 xlr 27hfs. When i looked under the slide, there was not any metal where the slide tracks over the rollers. Has any one had any issues with the slide wearing or the bottom of the slide getting damaged by moisture?

Looks like a well built unit. Local dealer wants about $1500.00 more than driving 800 miles to ohio and buy one. Trying to decide what to do. Have looked at local unit. Would have to rely on ohio dealer to do the right thing.

Any suggestions?

$1500 bucks is pretty close. My past two rigs were closer to 10 grand cheaper than local which inspired me to travel for them. I'd try to get the local dealer to 1k difference which is what it will cost you to make the trip. Then you have a great price and a local dealer for service needs.

As to the slide, the roller system without tracks is the norm for smaller electric slides. Nothing to worry about.

At the very least, try to get the dealer to split the difference. ($750) You will spend some $ on the 1600 mile trip.

I can't see any wear on the slide bottom of my 29HFS. I am with the others, try to get the dealer to meet you half way on the price. I saved $7k to $8K in Ohio, so I drove. It had to cost me over a grand to drive, but I vacationed into Canada and upper NY on the trip.

1500 is a no brainer I'd buy local if I could got for 1500 more but I'm saving 12k yes I said $12,000 to drive to Ohio - in route now pickup tomorrow - it's a long ***** drive from Seattle but so far it's cost me a little over $400 in gas and food for 2 but it's still a long boring drive........would it hurt to put some curves in some of these roads - never seen so many ruff, straight and flat roads - I definitely love WA and the West Coast

You've got nearly 40 ft of pavement, make as curvy as you want! With the winter they've had, can't imagine how beatup the roads are up there. FL takes years upon years to do a small road job and the there are plenty of dirt roads. But with no state income tax I ain't complaining.... Much!
