Slide Out Cover Clearance

I would like to install a Sideout Kover III on my Nitro 31 FQSL. The rig has two opposing slideouts. I'm worried about the curbside slideout. This slideout is under the main awning and it will be very tight clearances. Has anybody installed a slideout cover on a slide that is under the awning?

Update: I installed a Sideout Kover III on the main slide and kitchen slide. The main slide has minimal clearance but there was enough room.

Good job! I've been thinking about slide covers but just haven't justified the expense in my mind yet.

RJ, did you do the work or did you have it done? It seems difficult to figure out the right parts, but I am going to look into Kover II.

I did the work (and by myself). I ordered from shadepro.net. Their website provided easy input variables to determine the correct sizes. I was able to customize colors (case and awning material) as well. It took about a week to build and deliver. Installation was straightforward. The most difficult part was sliding the corded awning in to the awning bracket. A second person would've made it even simpler. I've seen your work on these forums, this job wouldn't test your skills

Thanks for that, R3J; excellent work.

I don't think there exists a match for the fabric / material of my awning, wish there was. I will check out shadepro.net... what awning material did you choose?

Just a question if your awning is covering the slide out why would you need a slide out topper?

Not my camper, but my experience is that I don't always out my awning out, but do always want my slides covered.

I guess that is true, but my awnings are always out, so that is where my question came from. I see your point, if I pull in for just a night I'll put my slide out but will not put the awnings out, just so I don't have to go through tying them down...Good point
