Slide out hanging up

The road side slide out is hanging up at the top when I close it. I can pull on the top of the slider to break it free and then it will close. I've had it to 2 dealers and no one can seem to fix it. Looking for some help on how to adjust. I have check all around not hanging on anything just seems to be coming in on the bottom faster than the top. Please help.....

What model XLR do you have? There is a height adjustment to your slide that will remedy your issue but it varies by slide type which varies by model.

So hydraulic main slide. OK. Your rams are set too low. As they start to pull in, being that they are attached to the outside edge of the slide and are set too low, they are pulling down as they go in. As the slide pulls in with the rams set too low, the inside most point of the slide will go up needing a hand to pull it down. If you look at the hydraulic gear under the slide, there is a head adjustment on both ends of the slide with two bolts and one set bolt on each. You need to loosen the bolts and raise the heads on both ends equally. This is something a competent dealer should have taken care of correctly the first time...

Just go a bit at a time. Don't go to far or you will have trouble in the opposite direction.

Good job RJ. Those diagrams explain what I was fumbling around with a lot better than I could have...

No problem. I stole the info from Lipperts App called MyLCI. It has a ton of good support manuals on all their components. I highly recommend the download.

It is damm sad that you took it to 2 dealers,,,
