X2. Whenever I get off my wallet and update to a toy hauler it will have them. I install them myself.

What's everyone's preference for brand of slide toppers? Looking to have them installed on our 5er

There's not much of a preference, since Dometic and Carefree are the only manufacturers of toppers.

They may have changed but five years ago I had problems dealing with Carefree customer service, or should I say customer non-service. On the other hand, Dometic customer service has been great.

There are different variations. From the basic to one model with fancy end caps. The best one has the end caps plus the first 6" or so is metal. The metal acts as a guard when it's rolled up and protects the material from the sun and branches while travelling. Of course the more features the higher the price.
