Surprise, It's Here!!

Wow, our new 29hfs arrived today and we had no idea it was coming! The woman who was delivering it was very patient as we were both working today so she had lunch at the little diner in town while waiting for me to get done work around 3pm (early day). She must have gotten a chuckle because I'm a rural mail carrier in this little town so of course the girls at the diner were telling her that 3 pm is a little early for me to get done the route (I'm their carrier). I pulled up at 3:15 while she was standing outside and she says "its a little early for you to be done delivering the mail isn't it?" lol! Small towns, you gotta love um! Anyways, it's here and we got to check things out a little bit tonight. My teens think it's friggin cool! My DH is very calm about pulling this rig, but I will need to practise some first. Holy crap there is tons of storage! I need to plan a trip somewhere!

Just was talking with the wife tonight about the storage.it was one of the selling points for us. Still have lots of space available after moving everything over from the old tt. I think we will wait till after the first trip before adding to much more though.

This thread gives me hope...DW and I ordered our 30hfs5 on 3/15, dealer said it would be in "end of April." Here it is 5/5 and still no sign of it. So hopefully FR was just a little behind and the XLRs are starting to roll out! Good luck with your new unit.

Just a note to those who are getting a new 29hfs, we did find a few problems with the camper right away. We had no 12v power and discovered a resettable fuse on the front frame of the camper was bad. Also, you will find an issue with the led awning and porch lights will not work unless the interior lights are on. If you search through the xlr threads, Scooter86 explains how to fix the wiring so each light is on its own switch. Also, the matteress sucks, so plan on adding some memory foam to the bed. Otherwise, we love the camper and can't wait to try it out Memorial day weekend. Our daughter sleeps in it every weekend and loves it.

The mattress foam is poor industry wide I think. Memory foam works wonders.

sent from a place not yet warm enough for me to camp in.

Congrats on the new camper! My DW laughs at me for taking naps in the camper. As for storage, there is way more in my TT than was in my PUP.
