Thinking of selling our coachmen and going to a xlr thunderbolt

Hi everyone after numerous trips almost everytime we use are 16 coachmen chaparral. I think we're going to break down and get rid of it. We can't enjoy it anymore I kinda wanted to get away from FR but we have fell in love with the 380 thunderbolt. And for 62k new I can't find it cheaper anywhere. Can you guys going me some goods and bads of the thunderbolts please thanks in advanced

Where did you find a 380 for 62K. That's 2K less than even Couch's sells them for. If that's right it's a really good price but seems like it would have 0 options.

XLR

we purchased a 380 this last spring from RV Wholesalers. we had been looking for the last four years at toy haulers and kept coming back to the XLR 380 as the floor plan we wanted. We decided to buy the 2016 and low and behold they changed the floor plan in the bedroom and bath which we did not like so we went on the search for a new 2015 and found one at RV Wholesalers for 60k with everything on it. We sold our house in June and have been living full time in it and love it. Little fixes here and there but nothing major.

XLR Thunderbolt

Bought it new June 2015 and love it!!! Very few toy haulers have the cables to make the back ramp into a deck, but this one does and I use the deck daily.
Only two real problems--refrigerator wouldn't get cold (come to find out there was no insulation around the box and no venting for circulation. Other problems was they forgot to seal the shower door, so had a flood. Both warranty fixes.

Go to www.rv007.com and check their prices. I bought my 2011 XLR from them as they had the best price at the time that I could find. Located in Ringgold Virginia, right outside Danville.

I tried to buy from 007 and I live 80 miles from them they were 6k higher than Jeff Couch in Ohio and didn't want to give me anything for my one year old trade when I mentioned possibly trading and when I went to the lot to look the salesman pointed me to where the Toyhaulers were and said if I see one I like come back and he will work on a price.

Did you end up buying from Couch's and did they give you a good price for your one year old trade that is the predicament that we are in right now

Yes I did I purchased a 2016 425 last year for 62K and got some allowance for my 29hfs 2015 plus it paid off.
List on the 425 was 104 from factory misted had it advertised for 79K+ but I got it from Brandon at Couchs RV

That's who I've been working with were in-between the gateway 3750 with patio. Or the 380 or 375 xlr just really don't want to buy another one for awhile lol

We have a 2016 380 and love it. We have had a few small problems that I have repaired myself but nothing major. I feel their will be some small problems no matter what brand you buy. When we buy again, it will be another Thunderbolt.

I appreciate all these great reviews.. we have had so many problems with our chaparral that personally I haven't even been able to fix. I tried. And it's cost me so much bringing it home and back down to were we store it at the lake and it seems like every other time we use it things are breaking or leaking think it's just time to get rid of it. When you can't enjoy it anymore.

Alex could I ask other than problems why are you moving to the toy hauler? Just curious as the wife thinks we should have bought one rather than our Brookstone.

It seems to me you get alot more room out of the toy haulers and I think honestly the quality alot better. We have no toys to put in it b/c our boat wouldn't fit. And also we like the patio and the garage area because we travel with are dachshunds 3 of them and the patio would be perfect for them to sun tan on and for us to sit out on. Also love the built in generator even though it would barely be used.

Funny I also think that the quality seems so much better too. For us we have two boys and the garage area seems much better for them and the whole family than the regular rv's. We do have a few toys that might get hauled but I like the idea of a durable easy to clean floor in the back got the boys.
