TV/ light outage?

My 29 xlr hfs front bedroom light affects the tv. When watching the TV if you turn on the front bedroom light, the TV signal is lost until you turn it off then the signal returns. What is the fix for this problem?
Thanks

Sounds like the proximity of the 12volt light wiring in relation to the TV coax is causing interference. I'd try removing the coax wall plate to get a look inside the wall if possible. Sometimes a simple "repositioning" of the wires may make enough difference.

If you have LED lights, this is a known problem of radio frequency interference RFI. We have many threads concerning this. Hold on and I'll find some for you, if this applies to your situation..

Simple roundabout solution is to either try and change the brand/type LED light or just leave the lights off when watching television (this has been what many members ended up doing).... or if the fixture will accept it, you can use an incandescent bulb.

You can test it this way also ,by replacing the LED with incandescent bulbs to see if it makes the problem stop. Then you know it's the LED bulbs.

I would try moving/swapping the bedroom lite with another... Maybe the one in the garage. Then try it and see which one affects the TV booster.

Wmtire, thanks for the research. If I cannot easily c orrect it, then we will simply keep the light off when watching tv.
