Before installing the Biker Bars, due to the fairing, I had to go under the crash bars, then up to the handlebars. Worked ok 2,000 mile to Daytona and back.

If the straps touch anything, including the chrome, they will move slightly and scratch the surface. We cut socks and use them as a barrier between the straps and bike.
